Weight Management
VIPCARE.Life provides physician-led weight management for adults who want a thoughtful, medically grounded approach to weight, metabolism, and cardiometabolic risk. The goal is not a quick fix. The goal is to understand your full health picture and create a plan that is realistic, safe, and sustainable for your life.
Weight is influenced by biology, medications, sleep, stress, hormones, medical conditions, nutrition, activity, genetics, and environment. Dr. Gupta works with you to identify contributing factors, reduce health risks, and build a treatment plan that fits your goals and medical history.
What this may include
- Comprehensive weight and metabolic health assessment
- Review of medical history, medications, sleep, stress, and lifestyle
- Screening for diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, fatty liver, sleep apnea, and cardiovascular risk
- Nutrition and physical-activity planning
- Medication review for drugs that may contribute to weight gain
- Discussion of anti-obesity medications when clinically appropriate
- GLP-1 / GIP medication review when appropriate and legally prescribed
- Monitoring for side effects, labs, response, and long-term safety
- Coordination with dietitians, endocrinology, bariatric specialists, sleep medicine, pharmacies, and insurance
- Long-term follow-up and weight-maintenance planning
A medical approach, not a shortcut
Safe weight management combines behavior, nutrition, physical activity, medical evaluation, and ongoing support. For some patients, prescription anti-obesity medication may be appropriate. For others, the focus may be metabolic risk reduction, medication adjustment, sleep improvement, nutrition planning, or coordination with specialists.
Prescription weight-loss medications are not appropriate for everyone and require review of risks, benefits, contraindications, side effects, cost, insurance coverage, and long-term planning.
GLP-1 and compounded medication caution
VIPCARE.Life uses prescription medications only when clinically appropriate. The FDA has raised concerns about unapproved GLP-1 drugs marketed for weight loss, including compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products, fraudulent labels, dosing concerns, and products that are not FDA-approved.
Membership does not guarantee a prescription for semaglutide, tirzepatide, GLP-1/GIP medications, stimulants, controlled substances, or any other weight-loss medication.
VIPCARE.Life does not guarantee weight loss, weight maintenance, medication approval, insurance coverage, reimbursement, avoidance of complications, metabolic improvement, or any specific clinical outcome. Weight-management medications are prescribed only when medically appropriate, legally permitted, and consistent with clinical judgment. VIPCARE.Life is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
